Some team wins happen in a great community video. Others happen when a maintenance problem gets solved. At PRAXM, both deserve a moment in the spotlight.
That idea is at the heart of the Media Mogul and Golden Hammer awards, the quarterly portfolio-wide program behind PRAXM’s 2026 Best Industry-Related Innovation recognition from the Indiana Apartment Association. The program celebrates two essential sides of community life: leasing and marketing, and maintenance and service.
Two awards with a shared purpose
The Media Mogul award recognizes communities for marketing participation, social media presence, content creation, and storytelling. Think resident event coverage, useful property updates, and the everyday moments that give a community its personality.
The Golden Hammer award recognizes maintenance teams for service quality, responsiveness, problem-solving, work order performance, curb appeal, and teamwork. It brings attention to work residents depend on and the people responsible for keeping the community running.
Communities are reviewed each quarter against the strengths of each category, and the winners are celebrated internally across the portfolio. That gives teams regular opportunities to be recognized and colleagues a chance to learn from one another.
A reason to keep showing up
The program gives recognition a place in the regular rhythm of work. In its nomination, PRAXM highlighted The Steadman’s three consecutive quarterly Media Mogul wins as an example of sustained creativity and consistency.
For residents, the purpose is practical: encourage helpful communication and attentive service by recognizing the people who provide them. For teams, it is a reminder that different roles contribute to the same community experience.
Reflecting on the people behind this year’s awards, PRAXM shared: “We’re even prouder of the people whose ideas and collaboration made that recognition possible!”
The innovation award was one of seven honors received by PRAXM, its communities, and its team at the 2026 Midwest Multifamily Conference. We are proud to celebrate a program that makes room for the people behind the posts and the people behind the repairs. Congratulations to the teams whose everyday work gives us so much to recognize.
